Litti Chokha is a traditional tasty & Healthy dish eaten mainly in Bihar, Jharkhad & Eastern UP. It can be had for dinner, lunch or you can make it on your holidays and special days you will surely love it. Litti is the stuffed whole wheat dough ball and Chokha is a mashed relish that is served with litti.
Litti is similar to Bati in appearance but there is a little difference. The Pitthi(stuffing) to be filled in it is made with Sattu. On other hand Chokha can be made with roasted eggplant (baingan), roasted potatoes (aloo) and roasted tomatoes (tamatar). You can make them separately or even combine all three and make one chokha.
Mostly Litti Chokha made with Ghee on tandoor but in this video we make litti chokha in Cooker with Saloni Mustard oil. Saloni Mustard Oil #SehatBhiSwadBhi Jo Banta hai apni hi factory mein.
Ingredients
For Chokha
:-
Saloni Mustard Oil
1 Brinjal
3 Tomato
3-4 Green Chillies
4-5 Garlic Cloves
2 Chopped Onion
1 tsp Chopped Ginger
1 tsp Chopped Garlic
2-3 Chopped Green Chillies
Salt
Pinch of Chopped Coriander
For Litti:-
Saloni Mustard Oil
2 cup Atta
Vegetable Oil for Moin
Salt
Water
1 Cup Sattu
1 tsp Garlic
2-3 tsp Green Chillies
1 tsp Ginger
1 tsp Ajwain
Method
For Making Delicious & healthy “Litti Chokha Recipe” at Home with Saloni Mustard Oil, Take Brinjal, Tomato, Garlic & Red Chillies.
Slit the Brinjal from all 4 sides and fill with green chillies & garlic cloves, Brush them with Saloni Mustard Oil & Roast well.
After roasting put them into a bowl and cover with a lid for few minutes.
Other hand lets start making Litti, for litti lets take Atta (Whole wheat flour), vegetable oil, salt, water & make a dough of it.
For making stuffing for litti, take sattu in a bowl, add garlic, green chilli, ginger, Ajwain, salt, Saloni Mustard Oil & mix well.
Now peel out the tomato and brinjal and mash them properly, & put it into a bowl.
Now add garlic, onion, green chilli, ginger, salt, saloni mustard oil, coriander & Mix them properly. Chokha is ready to eat.
For Latti now make a circle of dough, put stuffing and make balls(litti).
Heat Saloni Mustard Oil in a Cooker and cook Litti properly.
