Ingredients
2 tbsp Saloni Mustard Oil
500gm chopped kathal
1 tsp whole jeera
1 inch cinnamon
4 green elaichi
3 laung
1 tsp black pepper
6 chopped onion
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
2 chopped green chillies
½ tsp haldi powder
1 tbsp red chilli powder
2 tsp dhania powder
Puree of 1 tomato
Salt
Hot water
1 tsp lemon juice
Fresh coriander
Method
For cooking a healthy & tasty “Kathal masala recipe” at home, heat up the saloni mustard oil in a deep non-stick Kadai.
Add jeera, cinnamon, elaichi, laung, and black pepper and cook until masala crackled.
After all the masala crackled add onion and cook for a few minutes.
Add ginger-garlic paste & green chilli and cook until onion turns brown in colour.
Add haldi, red chilli powder, and dhania powder and cook well.
Now add tomato puree mix well & add salt cook well for a few minutes.
Add chopped kathal to the Kadai mix well, add hot water cover with the lid, and cook well.
After a few minutes kathal cooking is done add coriander leaves, and lemon juice mix well and serve hot.
